You asked us for our shirts, so we made it happen with hoodies too! And what better way to do it than turning it into a fundraiser for a good cause that is near and dear to us?

Today, only 20% of the flowers sold in the United States are grown in the USA. Michael Genovese, owner of Summer Dreams Farm, serves on the board of directors for Certified American Grown, an organization whose mission it is to spread the story of the American Flower Farmer.

This organization exists to promote American Flower Farmers in three distinct ways:

· Hosting events for the public like the popular Field to Vase Dinners to spread the word to consumers about where their flowers come from.
· Providing certification of flower origin to American Grown Flower Farmers and a recognizable label for consumers look for when wanting to purchase American Flowers.
· Working with policy makers at the Federal level to make sure American Flower Farmers voices are being heard.

This organization is entering a new chapter and in the past was funded by a mix of membership dues and the California Cut Flower Commission. At the end of 2020, Certified American Grown will be an independent organization that will be 100% self-funded, but needs money to get off the ground.

100% of profits earned from the sale of these hoodies will go directly to the startup costs of this vital organization. By buying one of these hoodies, you are helping support flower farmers across the country.
